Falling prey to a bully

You snatched life out of me
Made me walk with my head down
Tremble even at the sound of your footstep
You made me a shadow of myself
Just like a flower, I bloomed
Smiled at your landing on my petal
Producing enough nectar to go around
But no! you suckled life out of me
You pushed me
Bruised me
Made scars
'Bully this bitch! ' you scream every time
You've ripped my blooming self off me
And the dark cave my qurencia
How much more will you hate me?
How much more will you make me bleed?
How much more will you watch me burn?
But
One day
Someday
I'll fight my way through
I'll smile
I'll breathe
I'll live

EXPLANATION:
This poem talks about bullying in the society which can be of different types; the physical and emotional bullying. The physical type involves the use of fists and physical power, while the emotional involves blackmailing and use of harsh words which is intended to have an adverse effect on the one being bullied. It occurs  everywhere, leaving no place of exemption, and the effects tend to worse in teenagers and younger ones. Most bullies use bullying as a source of gaining strength and fame, as seen in high schools and tertiary institutions, and some others, it's just for  joy and excitement they get. Some also use bullying to prevent and fortify themselves from being bullied in the future, as they have in the past, a way of transferring aggression.
Most times, the ones being bullied never open up because they are scared, or don't know how seriously people would take them or listen to their cries. For them, it's not just about the shame and pain, it's much more. They keep enduring it all, living their lives, one more day at a time, with the effects getting worse from just lack of self confidence to depression, anorexia, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and even suicide.
To the ones being bullied, you're strong, you're beautiful, you're powerful, but you don't have to keep it all in. You have to read out your own rules, loud aloud. You have to speak for yourself, or seek help. You can do it, you can end the pain. You just have to believe in yourself, because the world believes in you. You're not alone, and you'll never be.
